National Park Problem Solving Project

You will be working on:

Creating a chart
Comparing the size of ten different National Parks

Activity:

1) Print the recording page by clicking on the link, then clicking save, and finally by clicking the print button in Microsoft Word.

2) Now you need to research the National Parks and find out where they are located and how big they are.

Click on the first national park and click on the link "Location" to find out where it is located. Record the state on your recording page. Then click the back button.
Click on the "Size Information" link to find out how big it is. You may have to read a little to figure it out. Record the size on your recording page and click the back button until you come back to this page.

3) Continue to research the rest of the National Parks until you have your recording chart filled in. Make sure you fill in both the Location and Size columns.

4) Print the comparison chart by clicking on the link to open it, then clicking open, and finally the print button in Microsoft Word.

5) Using the information you have, you need to record the National Parks from the biggest national park to the smallest national park on the comparison chart. All you need to list is the national park, not the location or size. You need to go back to your spot to finish the project.

After you have completed the comparison chart and have your name on both of the papers, please put them on my desk. Please make sure when you leave the computer that you push in your chair and close the Internet. Thank you for working so hard to complete this project.
